When one door closes another one opens. For Eric Steven Walker, the door to playing Major League Baseball closed, but this opened the door to chasing the dream of singing and songwriting. Walker’s debut single, “Shooting Our Shot,” combines his favorite influences within the rock and countryside circuits to provide a hard-hitting country sound. Walker has built a strong and growing following through the nation, all while still teaching full time. The journey has been filled with many exciting stops along the way, taking the stage at many dive bars in Oklahoma and Texas along with several notable stages as well. Walker has sang at Tootsies in Nashville, and the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City. One of his proudest moments was winning the Blake Shelton Smithworks Vodka Grand Prize for his lyrics! Walker sound is a unique combination of his influences from Garth Brooks Aaron Lewis.
